If you park in our lot, you may pick up a free parking pass from the staff in the lobby when you arrive.   Display the pass on the front of the dashboard of your vehicle; it is your responsibility to ensure your pass is visible for the parking attendant of the City of Burlington. The Art Gallery of Burlington takes no responsibility for lost or forgotten passes. Since the City of Burlington tickets our parking lot regularly, the pass ensures you can safely drop-off and pick-up your children. 

 

 

 

 

VERY IMPORTANT: Every day of camp you will be required to sign your child in on the attendance sheet. (If they are 12 years or older then you may authorize them to sign themselves in – see Emergency Contact Form) The instructor and our program staff have the attendance sheets.  

On the first day please check-in at the BROCK LOBBY (entrance off the back parking lot along Elgin Street).

Sign-in and sign-out will occur in the ASSIGNED studio.  You will notified of the studio assignments for your child’s class.

 

 

 

 

For security reasons our instructors have been told to keep their students in the studios until a parent arrives.  You are required to sign out your child each day before leaving the studio with them (or if they have been authorized the child may sign themselves out). Children are not allowed to go outside the Art Gallery of Burlington building without written permission to the instructor from the parent/guardian.  Any person who picks up a child must have their name on the Emergency Contact Form. If the person picking up the child is NOT on the Emergency Contact Form, the child will not be released and the child’s contacts will be telephoned.

 

 

 

 

Children are required to wear closed toed shoes for safety reasons.  During class, kids may be using paints, glues and inks that cannot be removed from clothes. Although we take care while working it is inevitable that some paint may stain clothing, so please be prepared with appropriate clothes for your children.  Please ensure that long hair is tied back.

 

 

 

 

If your child will be absent or is ill and not coming to class please let us know before class starts for the day. Call the AGB at 905-632-7796 to leave a message.

 

 

 

 

Please DO NOT send lunches that contain peanut/nut products with your child. Some children in our classes have severe allergies to these products. If your child has a severe allergy please request an ALLERGY FORM with your registration package. Please complete the form along with your child’s photo and return it to the instructor on the first day of classes. 

 

 

 

 

While you are here, take your time to browse the seventh largest public art gallery in Ontario. The Art Gallery of Burlington is open to the public; with free admission to our exhibition galleries, greenhouse and courtyard. The Art Etc. gift shop and coffee centre are also available for your enjoyment.
